Menopause

What does Menopause means?

Menopause: The point in time when menstrual cycles permanently cease due to the natural depletion of ovarian oocytes from aging.

What is the diagnosis of menopause: Usually the time when there has been no menstrual periods for 12 consecutive months and no other biological or physiological cause can be identified. Other symptoms are: irregular periods, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, sleep disturbances, and mood swings—all results of unevenly changing levels of ovarian hormones (estrogen) in your body.
