Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is the inspection of the uterine cavity by endoscopy with access through the cervix. It allows for the diagnosis of intrauterine pathology.

Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to look inside your uterus to diagnose and treat the causes of abnormal bleeding. Hysteroscopy using a hysteroscope, a thin, lighted tube inserted into the vagina to examine the cervix and inside of the uterus.  Operative hysteroscopy can use to remove polyps, fibroids, and adhesions.
