This method is used for couples with irregular menstrual cycles, ovulation problems, or with normal or mildly affected sperm parameters. The process is similar to that of ovulation monitoring: On the third to fifth day of the menstrual cycle, treatment is initiated with tablets or injections to increase the number of eggs. After ovulation is achieved, the collected sperm is washed in a laboratory to remove chemical substances; when these sperm are placed into the woman's uterus in a clinical setting, this procedure is called vaccination. It is a successful method, especially in cases of infertility due to mild male factors. In the laboratory, the available sperm sample is washed, good sperm are selected, and these selected sperm are then placed into the mother's uterus under clinical conditions.
